EFCC Declares Gbadebo Adeniyi Adeoye Wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the creation of a Public Complaints Desk at each Zonal Directorate of the Commission as well as at the Corporate Headquarters.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, EFCC Head of Media & Publicity, Dele Oyewale, quoted the commission’s Executive Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, as saying the Desk will be staffed by specially trained personnel who will handle complaints from the public regarding all facets of the Commission’s operations.

Naija News understands that the initiative aims to close the communication gap between the EFCC and the general public, facilitating a more efficient resolution of complaints.

Olukoyede encouraged individuals with concerns about the Commission’s activities to utilize this new resource to express their grievances, assuring that all matters will be thoroughly addressed.

Details regarding the telephone number for the Public Complaints Desk can be found on the Commission’s official website and its social media channels, the commission noted.

Why We Stormed Urban Radio Station In Enugu – EFCC

Meanwhile, the EFCC has shared its own side of the story on what transpired between its operatives and Urban Radio 94.5FM on Monday.

The anti-graft agency said it was at the station with a warrant for one Favour Ekoh, who is a presenter at the station, and duly explained its mission to the leadership of the station, but met with hostilities.

Naija News recalls the radio station had accused the EFCC of abruptly halting its transmission on Monday evening by barging into the station and disrupting a live program.

The station also accused the EFCC operatives of abducting its presenter and taking away some of its communication equipment.

However, the EFCC, in a statement on Tuesday by its Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, said the operatives of the anti-graft agency were at the station to invite Ekoh who is being investigated by the Enugu Zonal Directorate of the EFCC in an alleged N700 million Ponzi scheme fraud involving about Fifty (50) victims.
